I always enjoy my meals at Lao table, a stone's throw from Moscone center it is the perfect place for a low key but delicious lunch before heading off. The fresh coconut is worth the $s, so refreshing and cooling with a spicy meal! A large selection of Thai dishes and everything I have ordered has been high quality. The food is plated really well, the ambience is great but it might get a bit noisy for a business lunch! The servers are impeccably polite and the service is quick. Watch out for the spice levels though, I ordered a 3 and it was hot!! Would return every time I am in the area.

Just look at the photos, as bright and colorful as its flavors! We started with the chicken satay, and it was cooked perfectly. Nothing like some I've had that are super dry, and the peanut sauce was a great mix of sweet and salty. I love pad see ew, but I think the rice with egg took it home. Flavor was better, and egg was cooked nicely. I would recommend this spot and hopefully go back if I'm around the area.

Came here for a team lunch and was not disappointed! We had a reservation at 1:15 PM so it was pretty empty when we arrived but there were still a few patrons in the restaurant. We were greeted when we arrived and seated immediately. Our server was kind and answered any questions we had about the menu and was able to recommend some dishes for us. We ordered the fresh spring rolls and chicken satay for the table and I ordered the "Khaw Kai" Noodles, which was recommended to us, and Thai iced tea. For dessert we ordered a mango sticky rice with shaved ice that I believe is seasonal. The noodles did not stick together and eat bite was flavorful. (I did not like the house Sriracha sauce however please note than I am not a fan of regular Sriracha, so this is just my personal opinion. If you normally don't like Sriracha don't think that just because it's their house version you will like it.) The mango shaved ice and sticky rice was so good! Only thing is that the ice was pretty packed, so when taking spoonfuls it would fall onto the table even though we tried to be careful. One thing to note is that you might not be able to make substitutions. My coworker ordered the salmon steak wanting to sub string beans for eggplant due to her diet and they said no, so she just ordered without string beans. They also brought out coconut ice cream with a candle for my birthday, which was a nice surprise! Would come back to dine again (:

I was in town meeting up with a friend for dinner and we settled on LaoTable. It was nearly full as there was a conference at the Moscone that week, but there didn't seem to be much of a line the whole time I was there. You didn't need a reservation at least for a party of 2. My friend and I were seated at the bar as she was bringing her dog so that we gave the other parties a bit of space and overall the restaurant was very accommodating to that last minute request. My overall impression, the food is solid and their menu spans from the classics like thai basil to more unique options like their sea bass. Pricing is a bit high, we ended up dropping ~120 for three items, but the portion sizes are quite generous, so I wasn't upset at all. Tum Marg Hoong Papaya Salad (3.75/5): Just a solid papaya salad. Nothing crazy impressive, but served as a fresh break between the heavier entrees. I honestly could have done without the egg and prawns on the side, but the chicharron added an extra crispy crunch that I thoroughly enjoyed. Green Curry Beef Short Rib (4.5/5): Super fatty short rib that is insanely tender. The paratha was quite solid - lightly crisped on the outside and flaky inside. Everything is fatty, oily, and rich, so it's a bit of a challenge to eat by yourself, but certainly worth sharing. Lamb Curry (4/5): Creamy, sweet, and savory sauce with tender chunks of lamb that are just very slightly gamey. Great staple and they were fairly generous with the protein.

Everything was super delicious! The spicy food is also actually spicy - loved my spicy Thai chicken rice plate! The portions are so hefty they're definitely big enough to share between two people or for one very hungry person. The ambiance is so nice and the restaurant is always bustling during lunch hours. I ordered the spring rolls and papaya salad for appetizers, and the hot ginger tea for my drink. Everything was beyond delicious! Definitely a worth trying type of spot if you're in the area. Perfect for large groups too! Service was consistently good, especially for my group of 5 on a busy Thursday lunch hour. I'd definitely stop by to try their other dishes!

Delicious fusion of Laos and Thai food here! Went here for a work lunch and we had the opportunity to try tons of dishes here. My favs were the Laos papaya salad, pad see ew, steak, and the dessert. Everything is presented beautifully and the portions are HUGE - highly recommend doing family style so you can share and try new things. The ambiance is nice and clean, modern, and the staff were really friendly. The only thing was we had to wait a bit after having a reservation and it cut into our lunch time. Would come back again when im in the area craving Laos food!

My team came back for a work lunch this yeand ordered many items, of the ones I tried: chicken satay, garlic chicken wings, fresh spring rolls, watermelon salad, wrapping vegetable egg rolls, koi steak tartare, crying tiger steak, khaw kai noodles, red curry chicken with bamboo, and pineapple fried rice. Some coworkers also ordered the chicken fried rice, sea bass clay pot, and panang lamb curry. The steak tartare and wrapping egg rolls were great appetizers- I have never had steak tartare with such strong, Thai flavors before...it definitely worked. The khaw kai noodles were delicious and my favorite of the entire night and the fried rices were great. However, I would not recommend the watermelon salad (watermelon with fish sauce is not the right mix), chicken satay (dry), and fresh spring rolls (only had a tiny sliver of tofu inside). It was a busy night during a conference so service was slow, but the food was great! Will definitely be coming back.

Delicious food here! They have a mix of Northern Thai food and Laotian food. It was right by our hotel so we made a reservation in case it was busy. On a Friday night, there were a lot of big groups! A handful of tables open. They were busy! On Fridays, happy hour is all day, so we wanted to try some of their deals! I tried a tom yum beer while my sister got 805, another Thai beer. Light and not heavy at all! For food, we shared tom yum fries, a sausage, and a noodle dish that reminded me of pad kee mao but with a sweet sauce on the side. We were full! I would come back to try the food as I noticed some folks ordered a large platter that was shareable. It was something in the Laotian section of the menu. Overall, it was a good time! Food comes out fast and the staff is friendly. It's loud here, but it's a nice space to sit and chat a while.
